Facility Staff
Training programs draw upon expertise from various disciplines and groups including NCSU’s Entomology & Plant Pathology Department, the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, the North Carolina Pest Management Association, and other appropriate organizations as needed.
The SPMTF has two senior personnel involved in creating, conducting, and assisting in our courses –

Patty Alder (center) is the Facility Director and Training Coordinator. She oversees the day-to-day operation of the Facility – including teaching courses, preparing teaching materials, and leading demonstrations.

Dr. Chris Hayes (center) is an Extension Associate in the Entomology & Plant Pathology Department and currently serves as the urban entomologist for the training facility as well as teaching courses and preparing teaching materials.

Regan Daniels serves as the facility assistant, creating training materials, and teaching courses. They are also the Hayes’ Lab manager in the Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology.
